Happy Holidays!

Hope everyone had a happy and safe holiday. We had some bad weather so we couldn't travel anywhere but still had a good time and dinners with family. Trying to get motivated to work on clearing out the baby's dresser and working on clearing out her room, I need somewhere to put some things we got for Christmas for her. April will be here before we know it!

Big U/S update

Life has been crazy lately, can't believe how time has flown. I'm 5 1/2 months pregnant and we found out on the 23rd we are having a girl! So far all of my appts have gone great and she's healthy.

We had a lot of snow last week and had a snow-day Wednesday! We had 15.7 inches of snow, it was so nice to be able to stay home, bake some cookies and relax, although the rest of the work week was wild.

I've finally started clearing out her room and my in-laws are going to come over in January to paint our bedroom, and after that's done I'll have to figure out what color to paint her room. We are going to have the Lambs.and.Ivy Secret Garden bedding that has cream, burgundy and sage green. Thinking of painting one wall sage green or burgundy and painting the remainder of the room cream. Any thoughts or suggestions?

So busy...

Between work, school, sleep, work, school, sleep that's about all I do right now. I cut back to half time for my classes and am hopeful to start catching up on my blogging, and reading the blogs I follow, I am really behind, in another week. Then I will (finally) be done with my class that's twice a week from 8-10:30 and switch to 530-8. It's really hard to get off the couch at 7:30....then after mid December I'll be done with classes until next August or October, depending on how well the baby sleeps...

So far I've (luckily) been feeling pretty good other than some insomnia and fatigue. We had the first trimester screening last week and the baby refused to lie on his/her back (I hate saying "it") and after 2 hours the baby went to sleep, so we were unable to do the test where they measure for Down's Syndrome and they didn't take my blood to run the bloodwork. So we opted not to have the test, not that the results would've changed anything, we just wanted to know...


Hopefully everyone is doing well out there in blogland! I'd better start working on my draft so I can get to bed at a decent time (an hour from now, maybe less).

Update - First u/s

I had my first ultrasound today. We got to see and hear the heartbeat :) I am 6 weeks 2 days and due April 15th. So far feeling pretty good, tired and hungry but so far that's it.

My next ultrasound is September 1st.

I am such an awful blogger

When I started this blog I thought I'd have more time to post, but apparently this will continue to be sporadic. Work has, still, been crazy but busy is good. I got my BFP last week and we have told most of our immediate family. I will have my first U/S next Thursday, I am so excited for that.

Classes will be starting soon. I will have one class two times a week for my first eight week term. Still not quite ready for it, but at least it doesn't start until 8 so I'll have some time to come home and grab some dinner and take a nap.

I haven't had much time to post on web.md. either. I am hopeful that all my gals from 12 mo will be moving up to PAIF soon.

Miscellaneous rambling

I feel like this summer has flown by. I have three weeks left until I start my classes again and I am not quite ready. The weather in Iowa this summer has been beautiful, we've had weather mostly in the high seventies to early eighties. Usually it is in the nineties and humid as heck, so we are enjoying the beautiful weather.

I have barely been online this summer, I thought I would have more time with my break from school but there is so much to do outside. We have spent alot of time in our backyard watching our dogs play, and grilling out with friends and family. I love summer.

In TTC update, I took femara this C and am waiting until Tuesday to test...I am almost thinking I should wait until after AF is due, I am sick of wasting my money. I guess I'll have to wait and see how I feel on Tuesday.

Feeling a little better

since I decided to take a break from school for July & August. Been working alot of O/T on top of full time school and I am getting burnt out. Will pry move to half time classes in the fall, for now.

Started clomid this C and had some S/E, blurred vision and flashy (hard to describe I guess). So if itdoesn't work this C will switch to Femara.

I have one more week of classes and then I'll be done for the summer. Hopefully I'll be able to get some projects done around the house and RELAX...ha.ha.ha. I can try. But I do feel better now that I know some kind of a break is coming, a very much-needed break.

I feel like I am so behind on blogs and posts. I have been absolutely swamped with work and school lately, working alot of overtime and have had some big projects at school as well.

A TTC update: waiting for AF to show up at the end of the week so that I can start Clomid next C...

Randomn

So I haven't been very good about posting. I've had a busy week with work, more so than usual, and I started my next term of classes. Trying to motivate myself to do my homework this morning since I have four chapters to read, an article to research, review and write a presentation for Monday, and vocab to review for Spanish.

And I have to get all of it done today since tomorrow we are swamped with Mother's Day activities. Maybe I'll get up early and try to finish some of it. I was hoping to have some time to relax this weekend and get some things done around the house (and start my new book - Dead and Gone by Charlaine Harris!!) but I don't know if that will happen. Maybe I can steal an hour tomorrow.

Waiting for AF to show her ugly face. I know she's coming, I wish she would just show up already...

The weekend...

So I am sitting at home, trying to get motivated to finish up a project I have for my class. I am grateful I have a job where I can be off on the weekends, but DH always has to work Saturdays and so the day always seems to drag on.

But we have dinner plans with friends tonight so that will be fun. My sis is having a hard time and I am hoping to get her to stay for a few days (she doesn't live far) next week.

And my DH's SA came back, everything was normal :) We have a follow up appointment in May with the RE so we shall see how that goes.

I wish the sun would come back out, it is chilly and rainy today...makes me want to be lazy...

HSG update

I had my HSG appt this afternoon. Tubes were not blocked, everything looked fine. I am glad it was short because it hurt for a few minutes. Glad that is out of the way, now I am off to heat up some dinner and read for awhile.

Intro

I have lurked on other people's blogs for quite sometime, and finally decided to start one of my own. I am 28 and happily married. We have been trying to start our family for quite some time, although some days I wonder if at this point our family will consist of me, DH and our dogs. Only time will tell.
